Christmas Time

Hello blogsphere,

Not sure if anyone is out there, but I was rereading some old entries and figured I'd post something again.  Right now I'm sitting in the tech booth at SCU, waiting for a DVD to finish at an event that I'm running.  It's all very, very exciting.  (Note the sarcasm.)  I would be doing something else, but Lord of the Rings Online isn't loaded on this computer yet, and I don't have any homework or anything, since its Winter Break.  So, you get to hear my lovely life-changing words again! Woo!

Lauren informed me today that exactly a year ago, she left Spain.  That means that I would have left within the next few days.  I remember perfectly standing outside the Renfe station for the last time with her - and we were crying so hard.  We knew that we would never go back to that, even if we came back to Spain.  We were right.  You can't ever go back.

I just finished my final Fall quarter at SCU, if you want to talk about not going back.  The weirdest part is how intensely I feel like a senior - I look at the freshmen, and I'm just in such a different mindset and place in life as them.  I feel like there is a constant repitition in my brain, counting down days, reminding me that everything will end.  Is that a way to go through life?  I don't know - I hope not.  It's exhausting.  I'd like to just live.

A week until Christmas, and then a week more until 2011.  One more year until the end of the world, according to the Mayans.  What would our world look like if we imagined that this was actually our last year on earth?  Would things change?  I wonder.

Anyway, here are some pictures from my life currently.

The lovely ladies of Kappa Kappa Gamma, Eta Nu, wishing you a very merry Christmas!

Perhaps I will post here more.  I'll keep you updated!  Happy holidays!
